Thank you for the tutorial. It looks easy because your instructions were so good.

Thank you for sharing. I printed your tutorial out and since I am also a machine embroiderer I have some great ideas for embroidering in the corners before sewing the pieces together. What do you all think....shall I embroider on the inside or on the outside? The inside will show when it's opened to access the bread and the outside will show when it's all closed up.

I love the idea of embroidery and think I might make some with initials on one flap for a Christmas gift.

Hmm, if you put the embroidery on the outside, everyone will see it when it's folded up on the table. If you put it on the inside, hmm, maybe only the ones who pick up on detail will see it. OK, my decision is to put it on the outside. Does that help?

Thanks, that was my original thought, too, so I will probably go with that. I have visions of Easter, Valentine's Day, Forth of July, etc. etc. And of course, Christmas!

Pressing all the seams open on one side before turning to make easier pressing on the right side! Wowee! what a tip - I had never seen/heard of that before and I'm sure gonna give it a try. Sounds like it would almost eliminate those little wandering edges from one side to the other that seem inevitably to happen in the most visible spot.

Maybe I won't be picking at that part of the seam with my tailor's awl to get it all lined up. Thank you, thank you!
