That was nearly six months ago, have seen them several times, and their quilts are still here. Really disappoints me. I often wonder why she won't let the girls have them. Probably just as well. She would probably give them away, breaking my heart even more. If they stay married, I'll just keep them and give them to the girls when they get older. I don't know what else to do. On their labels I had put from your new gramma, with lots of love. Then dated each one. So even if they don't get them till they are older, they will know.
Maybe next time you see them bring the quilts out and gift them to the little girls. I'm sure they will just love them.

I know how you feel...I made one for my mom and she threw it in closet for guests to use. Had her bedroom redone/painting and all and bought a Bed in a bag from Penneys instead!

Yes, I remember Laugh-In, though I don't remember this.
Perhaps it makes sense to those who do, but out of context, it does not make sense at all IMHO.
And further, to the OP of this thread, it may be somewhat hurtful. Again JIMHO.

Words can't help. Just know that you still have your memories of making the quilt.

(((hugs)))

My Grandpa remarried twice after my Grandma died. His third wife got mad at him and gave all of our family pictures to Goodwill. She must have been really angry- he was very hard to get along with. I have often wondered why she thought that would hurt him. It only hurt his decendants... anyway, less junk to have around, I guess...

I am so sorry about your quilt. On a happy note- my Mom keeps every card, everything that everyone ever gave her. She is very organized, has them in files...
