I am hoping someone can help me...my DD bought me a Brother 6000csi machine about 3 months ago. It was a demo model so we got it at a good price. BUT no warranty. When it arrived there wasn't any instruction booklet with it. It has sewn fine for the past 3 months. The other day I was sewing and had to rip out a seam. I noticed that the bobbin thread was sewing like a zig zag stitch. The top thread looked perfectly straight. I can't find where to adjust the bobbin thread to see if I can get it to go straight again...any suggestions?? Thanks Linda B.

On my Brother the bobbin thread adjusts with the stitch chosen.. I only have had to adjust the top thread.

I have this machine, and it seems like when this happens, it usually means my bobbin isn't wound quite right (too loose maybe?). Anyway, if I replace the bobbin it usually goes back to stitching normally.

This is the case with mine too. Mine doesn't like loose bobbins, nor does it like over filled bobbins. Try a new one.

Thanks for all your suggestions..I had just refilled the bobbin so maybe it is overwound..my DD found a copy of the manuel online so she downloaded it and printed it out for me. I will take some time today to sit down and read it over. I think I will try changing the bobbin first and see if that helps. I had just put a new needle in it too. maybe I have it in backwards? Thanks you!! you gals on this board are all the bestest!! Happy Stitchin' Linda B.
