Default Brother PE 770 from Home Depot

I thought I previously read a post concerning this machine at HD but have searched extensively several times and can't locate it. Does anyone else remember the post? Am I remembering wrong?
They have the best price on it by almost $100.

tia!

Price may be good but they probably don't service if you should need service. You don't get support like you do from a regular sewing machine dealer.

Is this the machine? http://www.homedepot.com/p/Brother-E...E770/205223190

When I did a search there was a link to the Sew Forum about this machine at Home Depot. Maybe that was where you saw it?

I have that machine. I bought it this past year (early summer?) and I really like it. I got mine from WalMart. They had the best price at the time. It was shipped to my local WM and I picked it up there after paying for it online.

That is the machine Patrice, thank you. I'll look at the sew forum.

Target sells sewing machines too. Online only.

Never knew HD sold sewing machines!
Guess it's online only? Looks to be a nice one though

I have that machine, bought mine on Amazon. I don't use it a lot, but I've never had any trouble with it. My only gripe is that the LCD screen is really small and has poor resolution - can be difficult to figure out what part of the pattern is going to stitch out next. But other than that, I find it to be a solid and reliable machine for the infrequent use I put it through.

I got a PE770 4 yrs ago. I just brought it in for service. he tinkered with it for about 1/2 hr before going for the most expensive way. it needed a new bobbin case. he asked if I minded a NON-Brother part for $25 as compared to a Brother for $98. I took the cheap route. they didn't charge me for anything but the part. you won't get service like that from Home Depot.
