Thanks for sharing.. I too forget to be thankful for what I have and stop griping about what I don't have.. Because what all that really matters to me is that my family is healthy, happy and together!!!

THANKS DITTER!!!

That's a beautiful memory. I guess we all have some memories that makes us smile as we get tears in our eyes.

This immediately made me remember the first month or so of my long marriage to my late DH. At the time I had two little girls that he helped me raise, both under 10 years old and burning to be helpful. They cooked our breakfast one morning when I had a migraine and was almost helpless, and they reported to me that he had eaten everything on his plate and complemented them. I could tell from the dishes they hadn't had time to wash before leaving for school that they had served toast a little bit burned, some bacon that had been oven grilled just a little bit burned, a mass of honey in his plate with a big blob of butter, lots and lots of black pepper (didn't do his ulcer much good,) and coffee that I could not drink it was so strong.
He not only ate it but told both of them how well they cooked.
Forever after my DH was fiercely defended by my two girls against their birth father's family, and they as well as I loved him all his life.
