There was a thread last year, I think about putting Vick's on your feet.

I can't have anything on my feet at night. My feet are always hot and lotions or anything of the sort makes it worse

get a PedEgg. use it a couple of times a week, followed by a good foot lotion. if it's a callous, it will work.

Anyway, I can tell when he's getting close to good skin because it feels hot. I usually yell or scream at that point to let him know he needs to stop. :D

He's also been known to use his sharp pocketknife to trim calluses off, but the dremel is probably safer as long as it's used carefully.

The podiatrist I go to once in a while also uses a dremel for calluses. I think my DH does just as good a job and it saves the expense of an office call.

He's pretty handy when it comes to ingrown toenails, too.

By the way, none of the above applies if it's a plantar's wart. :D

OMG!!!!! :? :hunf:

If it is a Planter's Wart. The way to get rid of them, is to go to the doctor. He uses Cryo-Surgrey. It is literally frozen air coming out, it penetrates the skin. Also the other way to start working on getting rid of them is using salsyic acid. You can buy it at your local K-mart or Walmart. Or just ask your doctor. I go to the doctor every 3 weeks. I call it a freezing.
I asked the doctor if I could just stick my whole foot in a big pile of snow. He said that it would work. But your foot would also be gone!  My Mom had a wart on the side of her big toe for 15 years!! It eventually died. They are pain in the butt to get rid of! I have had treatment for about a year. They are getting smaller with each visit! It would be an amazing Christmas present to have them gone! :D

I sometimes have trouble with dry, cracking on my heels and I use Aquaphor. It is made by Eucerin and was recommended to me by my Dermatologist. Just 2 applications on my heels and the cracking was healed. It is for really dry skin. Just rub it in a couple times a day and see if it softens it up.

Anything is worth a try and this is an inexpensive one.

Seriously, my DH is every bit as good as a podiatrist. Very gentle, careful, and thorough. He was the parent who did the best job taking splinters out of our kids' hands and feet or patched them up. He could always get them to laugh while he pulled the splinters out, cleaned the dirt out of cuts, etc. In his former job, he was the person they called whenever there was an accident, like someone slicing their head open or cutting their fingers off. He always stays calm and does the job. He even stitched up a bad cut on his great-nephew's hand when he wouldn't go to the ER and it healed very nicely. I think he would have made a great doctor or podiatrist or veterinarian or paramedic.

I had warts on my fingers removed by having them frozen once. OMG, it hurt so bad. I don't know if my fingers are extra sensitive or if my doctor didn't do a very good job, but I could barely stand the pain. And the warts came back! I had them for years, then they suddenly disappeared, for no reason. They've been gone completely for years.

Recently I started getting a little wart on my palm at the base of my middle finger. Just a tiny one. Darn.

Corn Huskers hand lotion will get rid of those little warts on hands/fingers...it is inexpensive, a couple of dollars a bottle. Use it twice a day and when they disappear, keep using it for another two weeks, as they could still be under the skin...makes your hands soft, too

Yes the freezing hurts TREMDOUSLY! (spelling??) They are freezing the wart away. At the start of the treatment. The wart has killed all the nerve endings in that area. As the treatment continues the wart is being killed off and the nerve endings start to grow back. Then it hurts even worse. But when your warts/feet hurt all the time. My doctor said they would soon be gone!!

I used to have one of the bottom of my left foot the size of 2 quarters side by side the up and down way. Now there are little patches of them. Yes the virus IS Contagious. I have little ones one my other foot. I use salyasic acid ever 3-4 days and it is working! :)

My feet are extra sensitive too! It makes it just as bad! Gosh darn it! :( Lol
