Actually, I have no idea what they are. I've only eaten them once and I thought they were gross, although I love cheese. Several local fast food places her serve fried cheese curds. That's how I knew it was Cheese Curd Day and thought it was funny. Hopefully some other Cheesehead will tell us. LOL!

I love cheese curds. Cheese curds are when the cheese forms curds and instead of pressing them in blocks ( removes moisture) , they are left unpressed. They have more moisture then block cheese and are a little chewier and sometimes squeak as you chew them.

Fewer and fewer independent cheese producers in Canada now. Big companies can make more money on brick cheeses. No cheese curds for me today.☹️

Can’t have poutine without cheese curds. Too many carbs for me these days but poutine used to be a favourite treat.

Cheese curds are not for me. I am not a big cheese eater. But any way celebrating any day is a good day.

Living across from Wisconsin...we would frequently do a road trip and a lot of times, cheese curds was on the menu...we would stop and pick up a fresh package and happily munch on them as we continued our adventure...those and smoked white fish freshly caught and smoked!
