Cell phone or Land line...or both?
#52
At this point we have cell phones and a house phone through Vonage. We tried to go cell phone only, but our reception was very poor inside the house, so we went with Vonage (once DSL became available). Cell phone reception has improved tremendously in the last few months, so we have considered dropping Vonage, but then we would incur a five dollar/month fee with Dish.

We have both a land-line (through the internet, though), and cell phones. We used to have a regular land-line through AT&T, but then discovered that we could keep our same phone number if we went through our cell phone provider; so it's technically internet phone, since it goes through our internet connection, but we pay for it through our cell phone company. We like keeping that number since it's what all our family members know.

We got rid of our land line because there is no one home to answer it. For the few calls we got on it each month, it sure wasn't worth $5 per call. We put the $$ towards the cell bill.
My high speed internet comes through a cable, from a roof receiver. Few options here in the desert.

Trevor and I just have our cell phones only. Landlines can be a pain in the a--!!! Especially with so many telemarketers out there. cell phone numbers cannot be sold. It is much easier and with the cell phones on us all the time we don't miss a call!
