I know what you mean Donna. Oldest DD moved home to get back on her feet after losing her job and her boyfriend kicked her out. She is doing better now but it will be a while before she moves out. (DGD came home with her........she was a great bonus)

For 6 months I had DS his Fiance' and my grandson here, It was a fun busy time, I miss the pitter patter of little feet. Actually I always felt bad when they left home. My Friends think I am crazy! I tell them they didn't ask to be born so they are my responsibility. When the going gets tough they know where they can come.

Lotstodo, we've been empty nesters for 3 years now. It took us (mostly me) almost 2 years to get used to it, but we're really enjoying it now! We can eat all the foods that we couldn't fix while the kids were home, eat out a lot more, don't have to work our schedules around school schedules, can go on trips without worrying about babysitters or whether the kids will like it, the house stays neat and clean, etc., etc.! We are each other's best friend and are enjoying this phase. We still love our kids and grandkids and see them as often as time & finance allow, but also love where we are! Come visit us kids, but don't stay too long...we have things to do! LOL!
