    Hi everyone,

According to the Chinese calendar I was having a girl.
According to the heartbeat I was having a girl.
According to "timing" on my part I was having a girl.

Well, acccording to my ultrasound, I am having a BOY!!!

No one was more suprised than me. I would have bet my entire stash I was having a girl. Nope. Good thing I am not a betting person.

The nursery will be in navy/white (NY Yankees). Any ideas for quilt patterns that look good in two colors??? I also need patches in the block big enough for people to sign at the baby showers. Any ideas????

    thanks for your help!!!

    Congratulations!

My son, the father of two boys, has outlawed any pastels in his boys' rooms or clothing. I'd really love to override him (after all, I brought him into this world) but he is the dad, so I pass up pastels for the little 'man' babies.

A Square in a square would be fun too... There is more room to write a message, instead of just a signature.

congrats! looks like we're all having boys!

The heart rate thing was wrong for me too, I was at 158.
I was also sick as a dog, and mad craving sugar, both 'signs' of a girl, nope! boy! (Long live Diclectin, I'm still throwing up if I don't take my pills :hunf: )

Live2teach is next to find out, right?

Congrats on the boy. About Quilting.com had a cute baby fence rail posted the other day. That would be cute in too colors. If your lucky you might be able to find some yankee fabric to blend in.

Ok, so January means 4 new babies among my friends, 3 girls and one unknown sex. February is one boy and then another unknown sometime in April/May timeframe.

Can you tell I'm at the age where lots of us are having kids?

I did a monkey puzzle in blue and white that I really like.

Sorry - not monkey puzzle - it is MONKEY WRENCH!

can you post a picture? I made a square in a square on paper and liked it, but really want to see all my options.

I did it on paper, b/c I'm sitting in a training seminar right now and am REALLY REALLY bored. ugh. I just don't sit very well for long periods. its that adhd thing...

Congrats! same thing happened to my daughter! Everything said GIRL right up until out came a 9 lb 3 oz BOY ! The Dr. said she guessed he was shy..... I had a log cabin in pastels, of course with a hand embroidered label that started' to my beautiful grand daughter Lilly Anne'...
How a bout a signature block? Or, Fons & Porter had a pattern back on 1997 maybe 98' a Graduation quilt, a veriation of a signature block , another one I like is a baby bowtie, with the bowties connected in a circle... it makes this great chain effect, with a (peiced) center.

do you have a picture of the baby bowtie??? I like that idea. I want it to be similar to his older brothers, but not the same. My older son's was a rail fence in NY Giants red/white/blue. I did 4 cross stitch squares (12 in) with name, date, etc. life verse, poem and Giants emblem. I'm thinking the same with the cross stitch, but differ baby #2's quilt by using a different pattern.

Lol, well, the tech at my ultrasound said he was 100% sure that it was a boy, and we all saw him being NOT shy, lol, but we're having the 3D ultrasound done in a few weeks, and then we'll see for sure, instead of a blurry appendage.

Blue and white is always a great contrast. It looks terrific with a bear paw but I'm not that fond of the block for a baby.
