Default Christmas Ornaments

Does anyone have a suggestion for free patterns for Christmas Ornaments? Our guild is wanting to make some that uses the poster board and fuse the fabric to them. When I did a search here on the Quilting Board I cant seem to find any but I know I have seen them. Any other good suggestions would be welcome too.

Last year for Xmas I found a Nutcracker image that I liked and made my cards by tracing the shapes onto fusible and then ironing that onto cardstock. Never thought to take a picture of them, but you could easily do something like this and then just use a hole punch and thread a ribbon through the top. (note to self... this was a lot of work for the cards so only make for "special" friends)

This blog has a few simple ornaments but none with the poster board. http://aspoonfulofsugardesigns.com/2...mas-ornaments/

Here's a few with fusible done with felt but could use cotton. http://www.auntannie.com/Christmas/FeltOrnament/

When I can't find it here, I usually go look at Google photos:

I think you are looking for Woven Star. Google it and a bunch come up including free patterns.

I made some Christmas ornaments for my grandson (21 months at the time) using scraps of fabric cut into 5" squares, back to back. I used the 'birthing' method to put the scraps together and inserted a loop of red ribbon for the hanger.

They are kid proof, so no chance of the child breaking the ornament or ingesting ornament stuff. The smaller children will still need adult supervision with this important task, of course.

For extra interest, I bought some jingle bells and put one in each ornament. He had fun putting them on the tree and even more fun taking them off. I had fun supervising him!

If you put jingle bells in the ornament, I recommend that you get larger ones as the small ones make very little noise. Unless, of course, you prefer less noise!
