Default Christmas Sewing

I made my little grandsons a "Santa Stop Here Sign". I machine embroidered it onto stiff felt, back it with another piece of stiff felt and laminated it so that it can be placed outside. Design from Embroidery Library.

I also made this all machine embroidered and pieced bag for a dear friend. Design from Anita Goodesign / Bag Project.

Also this week I helped a friend assemble some silk crochet coat hangers that I had previously given her the pattern for. She only does crochet and had never assembled them before. We padded the wooden cot hanger and covered the padding with a satin lining to match the cover.

OMG!!! Betty, your hangers took my breath away, so very pretty. Love the tote bag/purse. All that embroidery is so special too.
And i imagine the boys will love this sign they will have forever. You make such beautiful items and gifts. those hangers are the prettiest I've ever seen. I'll take one. Never saw one done that way. So beautiful

Betty that bag is so pretty, and with how you quilted each part in its own way. The boys will love their signs. The coat hangers are really pretty, and I can see from your description how they were made.

I have one wooden coat hanger I have had several years now that were not covered like that, but my son had hand painted for me.

You are obviously a busy sewer and talented in a variety of things...all of your projects are wonderful and I love the detail in your tote bag.

I'm in agreement with everyone else....fantastic projects! Wouldn't mind it at all if someone gave me any of these items, if they were as nice as yours!

Great Christmas projects - and good on you for helping finish the crochet hangers - they are exquisite!
