Our dryer quit working yesterday and dh ordered some parts (which may or may not be the problem). Anyway, I now have a load of clothes out on the line - in the rain. (radar shows it's clear :P)

I love hanging some things outside, but I may have to resort to the basement - do you have a preference for indoor hanging -- a clothesline or one of those wooden rack things? (I suppose I could get one at Walmart?)

I prefer a clothes line... I always seem to have more than my rack will hold....

Well I have a wooden drying rack, but I never use it for
laundry, I use it in my sewing room for when I have tons
of strips to be sewn.

I use to LOVE hanging clothes outside to dry, but living
in a condo there just is no place to do that anymore. Oh
how I miss the I had in NC.

Good luck with getting your dryer fixed soon.

I prefer a clothesline. On the racks, items hang closer together & don't get as much air circulation.

Thanks - you saved me some $! :) It's now outright raining. Oh well. I have towels in the wash and was so hoping to get them out in this wind.... without the rain though.

I hang things indoors, so even if it rains, they still dry

Now we're just trying to figure out where to hang a line - seems like there's always something in the way...

i have two racks - usually if I am drying inside the wood stove is going, so I can move them near the stove. I also use the railing around the stair opening and the shower curtain rod. In a 700sf house you have to be creative!!
