To you guys and gals who use a rolling chair in your quilt rooms, beware. Yesteday I was reaching over to grab a tote of small fabrics when the chair shot out behind me and I landed in a heap on the floor with the chair UNDER my quilting table. Not sure how it all happened but all I could think of is I hope I didn't break my "new" hip. Luckily I had secure furniture around me so I could haul myself back up.

Beware, those chairs can be killers

I once had the back fall off of my office chair too.

Be careful with yourselves :-)

I have low pile carpeting in my sewing room that keeps my roller sewing chair from scooting out from under me. I keep a long wand magnet nearby to pick up my scissors and pins that fall from my sewing desk, keeps me from leaning over in the chair to reach them and ending up like you did.

No problem with the roller chair by our computer desk, I just get myself into the knee opening of keep myself anchored there.

I've done that before....at my computer though. I was so surprised when I was up, and then in a flash I was down!

I don't mean to laugh, but I'm imagining the shocked looks on all your faces. I have a feeling I'm going to pay for this ;-)

WHen you replace your charis make sure to get one with 5 legs instead of 4. I think they are pretty standard now but just FYI.
