Remember that one man's trash is another man's treasure. Some folks do not like or understand the value of hand made goods. Some folks are interested only in "Brand Name" items. When everyone had to sew to put clothes on people's backs and quilts on the beds, folks viewed hand made far differently.

I've started crocheting again and am now making baby afghans for the orphanage that our church sponsors. I mainly want to use up all the yarn to make rom for more quilting stuff

Yes, I have made them, I'm crocheting a "Grandma's Flower Garden" afghan now. Like to switch off between quilting and crocheting, I enjoy doing both.

I agree with all you have said.....I don't particularly like to weave in a lot of ends that you get with multiple use of colors. I like to crochet in front of the TV too.....makes the time just fly by!!!
