I took a Strudel baking class Thursday. Wanted to continue the family tradition. Mom was too busy working 2 jobs to teach us.
At class, everyone was struggling to reach across the huge tables to stretch out the dough evenly. When I tried it at home, I covered my lg cutting board with a tablecloth so I could turn the dough as I stretched it. Practice will make perfect, sorta!!

I haven't made strudel in years -- DH was diabetic so now I will make it again. -- If I cut narrow peices, I won't pile on pounds LOL. I have a big bag of pecans that my quilting friend in Las Cruces gave me in the spring on our way to WA. Yummy !!!!

Oh wish I lived near you-I really want to learn to make real strudel. My mother in law learned how when she visited relatives in Germany. However she never would teach me when we visited. (she is like that). I have never seen a class near us..will keep looking. Hope you enjoy it and keep trying. I think it's like FMQ, practise is the only true way to become good at it.
