The horseshoe is a symbol of good luck. In earlier times all the brides friends would give a horseshoe, which meant that the bride could end up with quite a few on her arm. The tradition seems to be dieing so I made this one. The most important thing is not to have the horseshoe upside down. This would mean that all the luck would fall out and be lost.

Makes sense to me...and what a nice tradition!
