My daughter lives there too, along with my SIL and baby granddaughter. I am terribly worried about them.

Just received an email from my son in Brooklyn and the damage wasn't as bad as expected. I hope your daughter fared the same.

My daughter is fine. She was in a penthouse during the storm and said the wind was scary. She slept on the bathroom floor to get a way from the windows. She was headed back to her apartment and to check on her car.

Just heard from my son in Brooklyn. He slept through the storm and they never lost power. He weathered Katrina and Rita in Baton Rouge, so he knew what to expect. But mom feels better after hearing from him.
