Second one.

To the lamp on the right of the picture, I'd add a box-like deep green/gray holder to make it rise slightly above the back of the sofa.

And I think the coffee table needs to be more the color of the walls, it looks like it belongs in one of those wooden walled guest cottages on a big estate.

And I would add two large or 4 smaller pictures beside the one above the sofa. They should be a stronger contrast, either with very dark slashes of clouds perhaps, or very light ones of huge sea shells with some contrast in the pictures. Such as them in the foreground on sand and the ocean crashing towards them in foaming greens and whitish waves. I saw some like that in San Francisco a lot of years ago and wanted them sooo much, but we couldn't let go of that much money at that time. Next time we went they were gone. I'll always remember them.

If you're going for the beach scene, I'd say neither one. If you're going for the Hawaiian theme, I'd go with #2

and behind door #3.....................................

I like the second, it seems to go with the wall color better.

Second one is nice. Just thought I'd give you what a decorator I paid by the hour told me going through my home and pointing out all my decoration mistakes when we were getting ready to sell our house while living in it. I had lots of mistakes which was fine, we liked it but to sell it didn't work. It's no biggie but the picture behind the sofa is too small for the sofa and wall space. I had about the same size one over my den sofa. She put my sofa picture in a frame triple the size, almost from back of sofa to ceiling. The room looked instantly bigger and much more elegant cozy. I guess they do know what they are doing. LOL.

After taking these pictures I saw that the picture is too small also. Our plan is to enlarge some of our own photographs, but I am not 100% sold on the picture either...still have time to return it.

I appreciate the input.
