I was going to go with a very basic machine but ohhh no... he pointed to the other one and said "we want that one".... and there lies the tale.

Nasty outside this weekend so at least he wasn't just watching TV.

http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/default.aspx as some of the cutest designs and are pretty reasonable.

Nothing better than seeing an embroidery design come to life! Does he do the stabilizing part also?

Yeah, as you can see, my DH really has enjoyed this for only having it a week. He said I deserved a better one than I was looking at and we even went back this weekend and got 35 more spools of thread. Looks like rainbow brite on the table right now.

Also, it's pretty neat for grandpa to be able to say he made it instead of gma.

lol...funny you should ask.... he tried but I think he was afraid to stretch it out too much. He used a stiff backing instead of the one for knits and the fabric puckered on it. To help keep his spirits up, I did the other hooping for him. Joint effort...we share everything :P

your man is just AWESOME! what a guy :D

I HAVE shown my DH Billys vintage machine repair tutes, and he is excited to help me with that.
AND I have very innocently let the machine repair man who is also a Brother dealer talk to him about embroidery machines :D
SO! a pic of your smiling Hubby is JUST what I need for another nudge :D :D :D
