    I just read this and I guessed the boy's mom too. Though back then, it was not a common to have female surgeons.

    I thought the Father in the car that was killed was the boy's priest and the surgeon was the real father! And hear I am, a woman in what used to be a man's profession and got it wrong!

    I grew up in the 50's...I once told a teacher I wanted to be a Doctor...she said you will have to be a nurse because you are a girl :roll: :cry:
