I play piano. Sometimes it's a tough choice between playing the piano for therapy and playing with the sewing machine.

Did you see him in "Crossroads"? He was the guitarist for the devil. The guy who played the original Karate Kid was the hero who dueled with Vai to save the soul of an old blues man. It was good, but had some scenes I had forgotten about when I let my teenage boys watch it.
Yep back in my long haired hippy boy days I was able to meet Steve Vai and he jammed with my band after a Whitesnake concert here in town. There was a club here in town that after all of the big concerts the bands would usually come to and unwind and hang out. Just so happen my band (Bottom Line) was playing there that night and they came in.

He and I sat around for a while after the set and he was showing me things that just blew me away on the guitar. Before I met him I would play by ear and play what I heard. After that night I started to learn Theory.

I play viola now and then. I used to play all the time. I was in all-county orchestra during middle and high school and the Winston-Salem Philharmonic.

I play the accordian. Growing up I lived in Michigan - lots of polish weddings, festivals, etc. Paid my way through college playing gigs. Also play the piano & electric keyboard. My younger son plays drums, viola, guitar & piano. My older son plays cello. It was always so much fun during the Christmas holidays at our house when we all played together.
