Of course I remember her songs. My name is Judy!
When I sew I usually play all the old tunes.

I love all those old songs and I hate what the kids listen to today. To me, rap is not music!!!
We have XM radio in the car and love to listen to the 50's and 60's stations and the Elvis station too.

I remember Leslie Gore. Just love her music. We listen to oldies all the time (50's & 60's). That was music. We belong to a car club (all classic cars), and we love cruising, and stopping at little places with a 50's theme. There is a group near here that is called the Del Reys. They sing 50's & 60's music. Now I've got that song, "It's my party" in my head.

I just love the oldies, and she has always been one of my favorites, "You don't own me" was my altime favorite. That was the best music ever, oh, to be able to hear and understand the words.
My youngest is 34 and I'll never forget when he was about 23 he worked in a shop where they listened to the oldies all day long, and his fellow employees were amazed he new the words to all the songs, he told them this is what my mom listened to all day long.

You Don't own me was the song in the movie First Wives Club - Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, and I'm drawing a blank - she played Annie Hall and a wife in The Godfather

I'm 64 and am close to the same age as some of these singers and actresses, including Patty Duke and Sally Field. Remember Brenda Lee?
    Thanks for the memories!

Wasn't she also on one of the variety shows quite often? I miss those. Sing along with Mitch. Ed Sullivan. Red Skelton. Andy Williams. Nothing like that now.

It's funny that you mentioned those two songs. One day I must have been humming "It's My Party" and my granddaughter picked up on it and liked it. I got on the internet and found all the words to it. When her and I would go for walks we would sing both of the songs!! It's funny how my granddaughter liked an "oldie but goodie" song! She was around seven or eight at the time and she's nine now.
