NEVER have anything but---Doulton Chatsworth for kitchen/breakfast and lunch; Minton Haddon Hall for dinner, do have Doulton Carlisle /Spode fleur de lys gold and blue and R Albert Lady Carlisle and altho have full services of all have to wash the latter up as gold not good in dishwasher.
Could NEVER use pot or for mugs either, they are awful looking in the main and crack and chip easier.
If you have R A country roses and will use them then do collect ,but get a full service ,there is nothing worse than ill matching china unless a harlequin set.

I use it MAYBE once a year, in fact, next year I think I'm going to put the china, crystal glasses and the hutch in a yard sale. I don't use the china or the glasses and the hutch is taking up valuable space in this tiny "temporary" home.

We got my MIL's china when we cleaned out her home and had to put her in a home. My DH was 52 at the time and had never had a meal on the 'good china'. As with many things they saved for good the 'kids' didn't have any connection with. Loads of stuff sent to the dump and we filled evey thrift store till they told us to stop coming.
We use the china everyday and enjoy it as it should be used.
