I'm having issues with my brother machine and was wondering, does any one know anything about this machine, I'm going to purchase Tuesday?

Janome is a good brand, I would call and determine what model it is and then compare the price on Ebay. Also inquire to the service history on the machine.

I have the utmost faith in Janome, however, I would find out the model # and do some research.

it looks like a basic Janome... call the seller and ask what the model number is and do a quick comparison.

Janome is a good brand. They are pretty easy to figure out and use. Make sure it has been kept clean and serviced. Take it for a test run. Bring your own fabric and thread. Try to call ahead and get the model and serial number so you can check with a dealer about that particular model.
$100 for a used basic model seems a bit much to me since you can get entry level machines for less than that.

I agree, I would also ask when she had it cleaned and serviced, it looks great to me
