That is so fantastic! The young men who accomplish this goal are few and far between this day and age. He should be very proud! My DH is an Eagle Scout and he said it opened a lot of doors for him career wise.

Congratulations to your son. He did a lot of work getting where he is. My late DH and both his brothers were all Eagle, and all were Scoutmasters. Our son worked hard with his best buddies to make Eagle. He is a go getter, as a couple of others were.
DH said often that should he get resumes from more than one young man for a job and all were more or less the same education, he would pick the one with the Eagle badge, since he knew that young man could stick to one goal and work till he had accomplished that job.

One other thing, while still in Scouts, he went to summer camp where he was a junior camp counselor, and at that time they had some volunteers from our AF base who taught the boys land and sea rescue.
So fast forward a handful of years, and the Navy tossed a lot of the guys into the ocean off Florida, and told then, "you rescue him and you rescue this other guy." Lots of them panicked, but my DS knew what to do, and did it immediately. That Boy Scout training helped him in the Navy.
I've had AF pilots tell me that when they were shot down in WW2, Vietnam and Korea, their Boy Scout training helped them survive living on the land much better than the training they received from the Air Force!!!
