Wow! I really like this! I am going to check out the site. We have been wanting to put something on the back of our garage that surrounds our patio. A quilt block in wrought iron is very appropriate. Thanks for the link.

It should not rust. It comes painted ( 4 color choices -black, green, red, blue) and it is anodized...which I think means the paint is baked on - on both sides so should be no rust.

would you share the site where you ordered it? I too had planned on painting one but it judt hasn't happened yet!

I just love that, i always thought they were painted on, i have seen a few in my travels, now i need to buy a house with a barn.

classicmetalcompany.com He will also take suggestions for new designs, too. I suggested Night and Day by Eleanor Burns. That is the original design that I wanted on my house and had planned to paint because it only would take two colors as does the Mariner's Compass. Then I found this link and went with MC instead. If he does do N&D later perhaps I can order the smaller version and put it in a differnt place on our house. I admire the painted ones but I am trying to get my lifestyle down to less maintenance and where we live, between winter and summer, it is hard on paint. :-)
