Wonder why this wasn't on the news? We live in deep east Texas, but we do get news here occasionally...LOL

It was pretty freaky. Felt like when the bomb went off downtown in '95.

I've felt quakes here in WA for many years. The first one was in about 1959 and we lived in Spokane at the time. Then there have been others. When I was a senior in h.s. in 1964-65 school year we had another one that was destructive also. My DIL works in Seattle and she's been through a few down there over the years. I worry about her being down there and stuff falling off buildings. The TV people keep saying we are in for a "big one" someday--I hope not!!!

Felt it here in the Fort Worth/Dallas area!! Very strange...never felt one before. My SIL noticed it...but my DG, who was in the 1989 San Francisco quake never noticed a thing!

My son and his family live in OK City. they felt it. Since he has been in college his family has lived in new orleans. Had been there two weeks when they had to evacuate for Katrina. Came back finished school and moved to CA
had eartquakes and wildfires to worry about Now they are in OK where a record was set for high temp all summer and now an earthquake. We tease them saying wherever they go diaster follows. LOL

We felt it here in Mid-Missouri also. My dh & I were sitting on the couch watching tv & he asked me if I just felt it move. He grew up in Oakland CA so he immediately recognized it as an earthquake, but we were surprised to see on the news a little bit later that it hit more in OK than here. I heard this morning that people in WI felt it too.

Well...correction here...DH said it was on our news...I must have just missed it. Never been thru one and really don't want to, but I'm sure it will happen some day. We are close to a fault line here as well. Hope all's ok at your place.

My husband and I were watching channel 8 news. They were talking about the earthquake the night before at Prague, OK, when we felt the second earthquake. We live in a brick home on a concrete slab. The wall with our fireplace is all brick and ladies and gentlemen let me tell you that that brick wall was moving. I was in the recliner with my laptop and the computer was shaking really bad. But I think I may have been shaking more from fright. lol

We live on the New Madrid fault in Missouri and they said we have earthquakes every day but we can't feel them because they aren't strong enought. But when we do have one we can feel it stills scares the bejeebers out of me. I also live only about half mile from the Mississippi River and I just know if/when we have "the big one" like they say, that we will be swallowed up by the river. I didn't feel the one last night and I am so glad.

Wow - I rarely get to watch the news - I just check here and learn it all. Wow! Pretty scary.
