Default Empty thread spools - I keep for another purpose

Some of the threads I purchase have different sized openings on the bottom of the spool, and I need to put them on my sewing machines vertical thread post or horizontal thread post, my husband suggested we cut off the top part of the empty spools, and then you can put them into the opening of the threads you need to use on the sewing machine, it works so well, I thought we should share this with the QB folks.

Good idea! I will try that out next time. One friend of mine saves the tall thin spools to use in the necks of her knitted dolls, recycling at its best.
