We've had them about 2 weeks here (central Georgia), but then, we've also had 90 degree weather. I can't seem to get the finches to visit here! Would love to have them, but have had no luck...

I saw my first Robin on Friday. Spring is never officially here until I do. At least that's what I've always thought lol. :)

I read in the Bird and Bloom magazine that you can attract Orioles with grape jelly. It showed putting grape jelly in the peel of an orange, dig out the insides and put jelly in. I saw an Oriole a couple years ago, first one I have ever seen around here. I love birds.

It will be atleast 5-6 weeks before hummers make it here. I have orioles during the summer too. They are beautiful. The robins are scouting out my huge walnut tree for their nest this year. Yup, it's spring!

SW MO here - and yes, we put out grape jelly in a bright yellow detergent cup (washed out of course). We saw a Baltimore Oriole yesterday around our regular bird feeders so we hurridly put out our grape jelly cups but have not seen a bird since. They stay around here all summer eating the jelly.

I have tried two years to bring the hummers in. Maybe I live in a area that is to busy ? They are at my daughter's neighbor's every summer. The location is very quiet. Anyone spot any in Ky , Ohio , or Indiana?

Would just love to see pics as I am looking to do one also. Working on stained glass wall hanging now.

This was done completely with scraps as practice. First stained glass and first applique

We don't get them until around Mother's Day :( I have a few weeks yet. But it is a good reminder to hunt up the feeders and wash them out :)

They are so cute, it probably will be a while before we see them here.
