I find it difficult with children running here and there to always eat at home. However, I realized a few weeks ago that my kids are getting way to used to going to a restuarant for dinner. Because I am on a strict diet, I have been cooking at home about six out of seven evenings. My kids are going through withdrawl. They have been complaining that I won't make them "chicken fingers." I cannot eat most of what I cook for my family, but I know I am saving a lot of money going out to eat. When looking at my bank statement last month, we spent over $600 going out to eat in just one month. That is just too much. So, not only am I seriously losing weight (as in 18 pounds in less than a month), but I am saving lots of money and am giving my kids much healthier food.

William is a fast food junkie...me, not so much. We end up eating fast food 2 or 3 times a week.

Misty Marie, I know what you mean, my six year old grandson is so used to eating fast food that he doesn't want to eat anything fixed here or at home. And by the way, that's great about the weight you've lost, keep it up and yes, the food at home is healthier.

I'll have to wait until after November to try this diet! Right now, it wouldn't be very good for the baby!

I have gotten kind of tired of fast food, ate out 2 times a week when I worked, now retired and eat fast food 1 time a week. Some I love.

The motto I live by is : "They may not serve it in heaven, so I better eat it now". Makes my life easy and not trying to live forever.

I always cooked supper here for my family. Now that my hours are changed (3 twelve hour days ) I cook four days a week. All my kids are adults so I figured they would cook the other three. Not so much. They eat fast food everyday I work. They know how to cook but choose not to. Sigh
