Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures. You certainly are a great photographer! Love the tree with the church in the background, and the faces of the people are priceless! Bless you!

Love your pictures! I want to go there some day. Were you in Transylvania? My grandfather came from there.

Yes most of these were taken in Transylvania--we started up north and worked our way south through the Carpathain Mountains to Bucharest.

My husbands maternal grandparents were from Transylvania. That was the name of their mountain cabin in the Snowy Range Mountains of Wyoming. I have seen pictures of the church in which they were married.

Just an idea, i dont have a clue where in Illinois you live but get south of I-80 and head to the rural areas of Illinois. Lots of beautiful churches, town squares, 19th century homes, etc. Just need to explore beyond the interstate. Pls do not take offense ....those of us who live "suburban" get accustomed to the tear down and build phenom. I am guilty of it . There are lots af amazing small town sights to see, farms, etc. We have a beautiful countryside.

After a trip to France in 2000 i no longer get to excited about "some" tear downs. Europe has some really old structures that are built to last and have. ,talk about narrow side streets. Loved it.
