Default First snow of the season....

We got our first snow of the season... official total is 14 inches. Poor tree's and powerlines down all over. Some people will not get power back until Saturday or Sunday. I never remember a first storm of the season like this before.

My uncle in Ct. said they had a few inches of snow and lost power for a few hrs lots of trees down bent right over to the ground and the next towns over were not going to have power for a week. About 10 yrs ago on Oct 29th my daughters BD we were leaving to come back home and sitting on the runway while they de-iced the plane and then a little one had to go potty and we had to wait for another plane to leave then and thought I sure hope we'll get off the runway soon. They didn't end up having a lot of snow and we was glad to see Fl. again. Hope you get power quick. Sue

We had a little flurry yesterday but not enough to stick..we did see a bit on the corners of the roof. I keep hearing this is going to be a terrible winter with many bad storms. I guess it is just a "wait and see". So far it has been very pleasant and mostly warm.

Sounds like our Halloween snow. We got 7 inches of wet heavy gross stuff and some people were out of power for over a week. We lost power for about 4 days. If this is the start of the winter, we can only hope it gets better right??

No snow yet in North Dakota, it is a beautiful autumn day. But I'm sure it will come soon.
