Default Flying Delta

Just want to pass this on. We had an amazing time flying Delta but due to horrible storms were delayed by hours and ended up staying overnight in Atlanta. I wrote to Delta and told them of all the extra costs because of this ($350) and they refunded that amount I didn't even give them receipts just told them all that happened. What a great airline! And they still give you snacks! Cookies pretzels and peanuts!

Wow, great customer service. Will let others know should the need arise, personally, I do not fly.

That is a wonderful response. Will try to keep that in the back of my mind next time I book a flight. Not sure Delta is a 'go to' out of Phila. but one never knows. Routes/carriers change all the time!

It will be interesting when the customer ratings on these airlines come out the next time.

I love Delta! A few times my flights were delayed due to weather, or other minor items, they always pull out drinks and snacks for those waiting, never had that on any other airline. They also have a good on-time record, at least the multiple times I have flown - they try to make up time if they get off the ground late. I will fly Delta even if I can get a direct flight with another airline - and if you feel like spending a few extra bucks, their first class section is fabulous!

We recently flew Delta as well to attend my mother-in-law's funeral. Delta has excellent customer service and it was a great flight round trip too.

Delta is the only airline that flies into Valdosta, GA, where my daughter and her husband are stationed. I always am grateful when I can use a larger airline that still believes it is "worth" their time to fly into such small airports.

The fact they came through for you is another nice notch in the "Plus" column for me.

Thanks for sharing!

but, do they let you have one bag free? My niece recently flew back east, and she had to pay for every bag she took with
her. $25.00 a bag.

I only take 2 bags, my purse and a carryon. Last month I flew to Indiana and even for a week, I packed light. I watched a You Tube video on packing undies, shoved them into my socks and it was great. they provided snacks but I did have a couple of my own. Even had room for some yo yos and hexie work.
