For those of you who think it's always warm here....It was 27degrees here at 5am.
I know that's no big deal to most of you, but this IS Florida for crying out loud!!!
It seems every year lately we have had this blast of artic cold!....Brrrrrrrrrrr :-(

Get under those quilts, Ditter, QUICKLY!!!! That's bad for Florida--not only for your crops but a lot of buildings are made for the cold, not to mention that it's hard on human bodies to make that adjustment when you're not used to it. STAY IN. BTW, it was 11 degrees when I took DD to school this morning here in central Illinois.

It's at least 15 degreees below normal up here in PA as well. I'm glad I'm not traveling for Xmas this year. Looks like it will be a white Xmas.

The power was out here in Bedford VA yesterday for nearly 5 hours and it was below 58 inside when I came home last night. I never did get warm unless I was in bed with 2 quilts and two blankets! It's still cold to me inside - outside is about 27 - and I think I'm going back into my cozy bed with a good book and a full-of-lunch tummy!

Brrrrrrr, gee whiz!

-11 here this morning and hell of a frost, trees look like winter wonderland, yesterday was freezing fog ALL day and so very raw, our track is just like glass, but LOVELY especially in front of woodburner hand quilting and reading!

I'm not used to this cold, either! It's usually Feb. or March before we have temps like this for a few days. They are predicting snow (maybe) tonight. Schools here will close if there is so much as a flurry of snowflakes!
