Default Fun with telemarketers

Even though we are on the "do not call" list we still get the credit card calls.
The other day I decided to have some fun.

Phone rings, I pick it up and say, "Hello"
A recording comes on and a woman says, "Hello, we are calling you today to let you know that you can lower your credit card interest . . . blah . . . blah . . . .blah. . . press 1 now to speak to one of our representative."
I pressed 1
A man comes on:"Hello, my name is Mark. Does your household have over $3000 in credit card debt?"
I said, "What?"
He said, "Do you have over $3000 in credit card debt?"
I said, "Whaaat? I can't hear you."
He said, "DO YOU HAVE OVER $3000 IN CREDIT CARD DEBT?"
I said, "3000 calico cats? No I don't have any cats of any kind, I'm allergic. Why would anyone have..."
click, he hung up on me. Rather rude, I'd say, after all, I was just getting started......

Maybe that will work for those political robo calls I am beginning to receive.

That is a good one. Another one is tell them to "hold on a minute" Then put the phone down and walk away.

DH answers in a made up "foreign" language - complete jibberish. They don't last long.

I've told them that they have to talk to the dog...she makes all the decisions. I don't understand why...but they hang up.

My hubby asks if he can call them back later, preferably when they are home & eating dinner.
