Fur Babies + Heat + You = Do they mix?
#11
No, we don't mix well! My "boy" Tucker, a gigantic Yorkie and not photographed, needs CONSTANT human contact! That body can generate some body heat, too!
CarrieAnne-love your bulldog. My Peke (in my avatar) isn't big but she's snorty! LOL. If you ever get face to face, you will be sprayed. She doesn't like that, though. She's my independent girl.

My cat sleeps on me every night, hot or cold, and I get sooo hot.
Also, she is always right next to me, whichever room I am in, and If Im sitting down hse MUST be sitting on my lap. If Im ignoring her she sits beside my chair reaches up and "pings" my pants with her claws as if to say, hey, Im here so love me! lol. Sometimes she drives me insane, like when she wakes me up in the middle of the night becasue she wants ME to move so SHE can get comfortable, and never am I allowed to sleep in, she has me up at 7am every morning without fail to give her breakfast.
(hmm, now Im thinking, who rules my house, me or the cat??) :-)

I miss having my Toby attack my feet at night, and wanting to curl up with me in our chair! Isnt it nice to know that they love you, no matter what, and just want to show you some affection? I use to vent to Toby, and he would patiently listen to me, then go to his dish and meow, (his fee for making him listen to me I guess). I really miss him.

We have a number of cats but only one is mine. She lives room upstairs. (she is to timid to come down) So when I get up there she wants to be as close to me as possible. There is no AC in my room so it can get a little warm but I just can't tell her no. Gotta love them.

Awww, I know how you feel! I miss my Bram. He was my Baby! I do have Ozzie, and I love him to bits and pieces, but I still miss my Bram. I would cuddle with him everynight... and he'd let me hold him all the time... But Ozzie is still young, so I have time.

It never gets any easier when we have to let our babies go. But despite the grief I would not have given up a single day I have spent with my "fur babies". And over 39 years I have had to let 8 wonderful dogs go and 6 great cats also. But they will be waiting at the rainbow bridgge for me and my husband. God assigns special angels at the Bridge to care for them until we get there.
