furniture oil vs paste wax
#3
I found the greatest stuff when researching how to restore the cabinet on my 127. It's called Howard's Feed 'n' Wax. You put it on the piece, wait 20 minutes and then buff-smells like oranges and makes for a beautiful shine. Their website tells where it is available. My dh was so impressed, he used it on all of our antiques.

I wouldn't put a wax overtop an oil.
Howard's is a great product to bring old furniture back to life ..... use a super fine steel wool to buff/clean the surface first, then apply Howard's with a soft cloth. You may need more than one coat, depending on the condition of what you are starting with.
