I just finished my Amish quilt. It is about a queen-size and I did it in the Broken Dishes pattern. Used all solid colors and it turned out great! What was your pattern? My aunt gave me a whole huge box full of solid colors for Amish quilts and I am thinking of making some more. I would like to do a coverlet size - 60x82 and tying it! Just a thought for down the road a piece. Have so much to do now, but I like to take my time. Have been working on Barn Quilts . Google it! They are fun to make - I make mine 12x12 and have had orders like you wouldn't believe. I put mine on the garage over the big door, my sister put hers on her house, I am making one for my mother for her house and for a neighbor for his garage. Very simple and a lot of fun to make. They will stay outside all the time. Enjoy the day. Edie

Welcome from north central Texas. Tried to teach myself knitting but couldn't get past the 5th row as I started dropping stitches so gave up on that, but I do crochet.

Welcome! Are there Amish communities in Australia and are their quilts similar to those here in USA?
