Your crochet work is beautiful. My mother always used the sugar water for stiffening. She would use the glass pop bottles back then to wrap big crocheted ruffles around until they dried.

Weasie, those are absolutely gorgeous!!! My mom did thread crochet, she made me a beautiful bedspread for a double bed, which I finally have now, queen and kings were in my life prior to my husbands passing. One square was plain and one had a raised rose pattern alternating with a fringe on the edges. I usually get it on my bed for the holidays, thanks for the reminder.

Life doesn’t get better because you ignore reality. It gets better when you accept reality and learn from your mistakes.

Such beautiful work!! It has been years since I have been able to do thread crochet. I did (at loose count) about 400 snowflakes many years ago. I had to make up a lot of the designs because there weren't many available in the 'olden days'. Now there are so many creative ones out there! I need to check posts...I have a treasure chest that I did for DD in a sad crushed state that needs repair and re-starch.

Thank you for the link. I'll look through my old books and see if the buggy is in any of them and I missed it. Again great work.
