My daughter, who just went back to Washington state after visiting for a week, has found a kitten under her deck. She thinks the mother is a cat that was killed on the road at her house. She cannot keep it as she is allergic to cats but I told her that I would take it. I have been dithering about getting a pet and, as a friend said today, FATE took a hand and gave me one.
DD will be back here when the oldest is out of school for the summer on June 15th and she will bring the kitten. In the meantime she got food and kitten milk, says it's really skinny, and will make sure it is socialized (two kids ought to do it) as she cannot bring it in the house. She will take allergy meds to bring it but, she can't live with it and have it lingering in the house.
She says it is black, or dark brown, with bright blue eyes. :)

That's how it is with cats--they find you; seldom the other way around! I'm glad you'll be able to keep it for her. And it will be great company for you, too! Post pics when you get it! And get it fixed ASAP!

Aaaww how exciting! I agree with Harmony, get it fixed as young as your vet will do it. I had my boys done at 5 1/2 months old, before the male hormones had chnace to kick in and they started spraying and getting agressive with each other. Important as they are indoor cats.
Oh I'm so jealous, kittenhood is the most fun (and testing) time! Say goodbye to your curtains, and post lots of pics!
