My DH offered to take me to the Hot Springs Quilt Show this past Saturday! We had a great day just us together. He was a little surprised to quite a few other husbands with their wives. As we walked through the vendor booths we came upon a longarm machine and watched a brief demonstration. DH was really impressed and jokingly said if I got my sewing room cleaned up and made room I could have it. I promptly informed him there would be no more cooking and cleaning until the room was done. (We both know we can't afford it.)

Also while there he mentioned to one of the vendors I was having problems cutting a block for the memory wall hanging I'm making with my dad's shirts. (I drew the design myself.) She was so nice she explained what the block was called and told me how to cut and sew it, along with giving me the measurements to cut for the size I needed. When I got home I tried it and it worked!

I had such a wonderful day, am dreaming about the machine I can't afford and getting more motivated to get the wall hanging done. Life is good!

What a great day you had. My husband doesn't know the first thing about sewing, but he goes with me and is always impressed with all the gadgets
