We were fortunate enough to go on a river raft trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, 8 days of absolute beauty. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful this trip was. Grand Canyon Expeditions take exquisite care of their guests, amazing full meals. For our anniversary, they BBQ's fillet mignion. Tempting dutch over deserts too! We got to take side trips up hike up some canyons. Here is a brief sample of photos just to let you know why I haven't sewn much for a while!!

For being such a dry climate, there are hidden springs and seeps along the canyon walls.

Pictographs on this rock are stunning!

The bright blue of the little colorado is amazing, and the water is warm too!

AND, one more batch. . . My favorite is the lizzard rock!

Another blue, warm tributary. We had a great swim there.

Can you believe the beauty of this bird!!

I love lizzards, so this rock was my FAVORITE! I have him enlarged and with my assortment. Saw lots of live little fellers too. Well, some were not so little!

Those are such pretty pix. That trip is a dream of DH. Was is super expensive? We used to white water raft a couple times a summer. What fun that is.

Wow!! I didn't even know such a trip existed! What an adventure!! How far did you travel in the 8 days? Were tents on rocky ground most of the time? Or what exactly is it like on the ground level? Can we see more photos? :D :D :D It's fascinating!! And Happy Anniversary!! :D
