So Hubs and I heading out on a cross-country trip for 8 weeks. We are going by motorcycle and camping all the way. A dream we have had for years and this is finally the summer...YEAH!!! So after trying with all my power to fit my sewing machine and quilting things into the trailer, it became obvious that underwear and camping gear was more important...so what to do, what to do.......then there was that proverbial AH-Ha moment. The quilts we always take with us are just tied, so all I need is a ziplock bag to hold a needle, thread, scissors, thimble, a couple of marking pencils, safety pins and ta-da, I will be quilting across country.....Isn't it just great when things work out?

We are starting at the eastern tip of Maine on the Canadian border and going across to Oregon sort of following rt20. Then down the Cal coast and then wherever the road takes us. We only have one reservation and that is at a campground near Mt. Rushmore for the 4th of July.
