    That would probably work on straight- legged jeans.

    Tapered, boot- cut, or flared jeans have varying circumferences at various points on the legs, so I would hesitate to try that method on them.

    I did not see any finish for the raw edges. I would prefer some sort of additional finish to prevent fraying.

    This is how I always hem mine-I'm short so I am always having to do this. Even on flared jeans because I always buy them with a little stretch so it's easy enough to ease the larger part in.

    Thank you so much....I bought a bunch of jeans cheap (we are just into our second day of autumn but it is as hot as hades here) I really need to get the hemming done and I hate wrestling with denim the usual way.
