Hancocks -- a positive story
#1
Went to Hancocks today -- only because I was near it and knew they had the stencil plastic I needed. I've avoided that store as much as I could for 5 yrs....I didn't like the snotty staff and they had very little! WELL, I was in for a surprise -- they had new staff and they couldn't have been friendlier!!!! A big change even from a few weeks ago! Also got fabric for $1.47 a yard!!!!! YIP -- on sale! Wow!!!! added to my stash -- you know I was almost out -- only have enough fabric to last until 2050!!!!!!
Just wanted to share a positive for a change!!!!

Boy, do I know what you're talking about. I'm cleaning out the spare bedroom for my sister next month or two, and finding massive amounts of fabric stuck back in the overly generous closet, and under the bed, and stacked in corners in big plastic boxes that are so old they are cracked and crazed (almost like me when I found all that!!)
Too bad we don't have a Hancocks near here, sounds like it is a good store.

Awesome!
I actually like the Hancock's by me although their fabric selection is a bit too "old" for my tastes for the most part but when they do get something cool in stock, it's usually a winner :)
I'm lucky that we have two Hancock's in town and they are both fairly decent :)
The one we had when I lived in PA was horrid though - and was closed down years ago.

I have a Hancocks here and have always had good service with them. I do find that during the evening hours is when they have college kids working and they dont seem to be as friendly or helpfull as the day staff is... Glad you had a nice experience with them this time. :)
