Default Hand sewing needles

Went to an estate sale the other day. Besides old, old, old sewing threads on the wooden spools, there was about a ga-zillion pairs of various size scissors: pinking, embroidery, duck bill, etc. AND there was one package of hand sewing needles with about 75 various sized needles (original price sticker $1.05), all gold tipped. I got 2 pr scissors, bunches of the wooden spools, and those wonderful needles ---- all for $3. This lady who had passed away had just about every dress pattern known to man, 2 really old sewing machines (NOT in any usable condition) and that was just the sewing room. I could have spent a week there.

I would probably have come home with far too much stuff! Sounds like you got a great deal.

It was a super day. One room was nothing but almost all brand new, with tags, wind chimes, priced from $2 and up. I drooled over some of them but they still charged me! I got a beautiful, wonderfully soft tinkley black wrought iron one with hummingbirds etched into it for $5!!!!! I gotta go to more of these sales. Don't know why as I'm really, really trying to down-size what I already have. Out one door and in the next......

Yep! A friend of mine tried to get me to go to an estate sale with her last week. I told her I've been getting rid of stuff for the last year and a half after moving and I've STILL got too much stuff. No way I'm going to an estate sale.
