I've been watching old movies on YouTube recently while sewing and doing choresin the house. I found one called "The Madonna's Secret" with a very unusual scene in it. There is a scene where one of thecharacters goes into a night club. There is an act on the stage when hewalks in. It's a knife throwing act. The girl was standing in frontof a board painted like a tree. She stood very still with her arms atdifferent angles gripping the board. She has a beautiful sexy glitterycostume on and she sings a slow ballad while the man throws knives at her fromacross the room I had never seen a singing knife throwing act. Itwas mesmerizing.

I watched this last winter on an old movie channel on tv. I think it was TCM. I have to look but think I set it to record too. I go through the month's tv line up and set to record all the old movies I may like. All movies with Bette Davis!

We seem to binge watch old movies in the winter. I also love Bette Davis movies. They are very melodramatic for sure but they are really good! My favorite is Dark Victory.

Speaking of oldies, last night on YouTube I watched the 1972 movie Kolchak The Night Stalker... What a blast from the past. I remember watching it in 1972 as a kid and being so scared. Although now very dated, for a TV movie it was well acted and written, demonstrating that a good programme doesn't have to rely on blood, gore, swearing or gratuitous sex scenes or nudity.
