My hair is white & it would be impossible to keep the roots
    dyed. I like it white.

It's probably not the hair, but the style. I would try a new short, sassy hair style. You will be surprised to see the difference.

I have coloed off and on since high school as I hate my natural hair color. Maybe as the gray fills out and the natural color lessens I will stop coloring. In the meantime I hate my mini-skunk stripe right in front. But, figure once I really start going gray won't be long before I am totally gray - my brother who is 8 years older than I am is completely gray now.

Funny you should say that! I have decided to go gray myself. I have colored my hair since I was 15, I'm gonna be 57 this year. I too am very tired of coloring every few weeks, it seems like it needs to be done every other week instead of every 6 weeks. I swear my hair never grew that fast! I have my long hair so it's going to take awhile for it to grow out. I've tried to grow it out a few times but when it gets to having half gray and have blonde I usually cave and color again. I can't make myself have the color stripped out....that would be too sudden.

Mine is natural now since I had all of the frosting cut off, but will frost it again soon. Not so much because of grey, but because I like it to have some highlights.

This is funny! I just got my hair cut and am in need of a color also. My mom is trying to talk me into keeping it like it is with all the gray showing....yuk, yuk, yuk!

I am 75 yrs old, only ever had three permenants in my life and never colored my hair. It is dauk brown with a few grey hairs here and there. MY three daughters turned grey in their fortys and all color there hair. I keep it short and curl it with a curling iron after my shower. Takes about 10 minutes and I'm done for the day. MY DH is all grey and my three brothers are almost bald.

This really is just too funny. I also just got my hair cut really short today and told the hairdresser that I think another haircut like this and I might as well give up the color. She agreed and said she thinks I would really like it.
I think white hair is classy. I don't know why I have been putting it off. So at age 65, I'm going for all natural, whatever that might turn out to be.

Thank you for asking this question! It's something I've been thinking about all day.
