advertizing on facebook seams a bit stupid but since we are such a cumputerizes society what can you expect? and having some type of gettogether to expose kids to chicken pox is fairly normal used to happen all the time.

Not a new thing. When I was young (50 years ago or so) there weren't immunizations for common diseases like chicken pox, mumps, and measles. Our moms did this type of "party" so their kids would get the disease young instead of as teenagers.

Not really too bad of an idea! I've read about them for years now. I had a light case as a young child. As an adult, I was exposed and got shingles. That was MUCH worse than chicken pox as a kid!

I always got my children immunized against childhood illnesses. If you've ever been in a hospital room listening to a child struggling to breath with whooping cough, you will never be the same again. It's enough to give you nightmares, I know it did me and it wasn't even my child!

Back when my kids got chicken pox, there was no immunization for it.
